IEW: All Things Fun and Fanciful

11am –12 p.m.

Goals for Class:

Utilize the Institute of Excellence in Writing book “All Things Fun and Fanciful”.

Learn grammar skills via songs and games and memorization.

Public Speaking: Students will be asked randomly each week to share their paper orally.

Learn vocabulary words.

Memorize the banned words.

Memorize prepositions.  (song)

Memorize helping verbs.  (song)

Memorize linking verbs.  (song)

Memorize 5 parts of a sentence.

Memorize the 8 parts of speech.

Parents

• Purchase “All Things Fun and Fanciful”.

• Can make copies for additional family members.

• Download the Student Resource Notebook (on blue sheet) from IEW. 

 Tab each section for easy access.

•Highly recommended: Download the Teacher's Manual for this book online.
