CC- Week 11 Hagia Sophia Gingerbread House Project

Today, we are attempting to make a gingerbread house out of the Hagia Sophia from the Byzantine Empire.

We are using graham crackers (for the walls), and fondant for the domes.
icing:  powdered sugar and water- very thick so it will dry quickly.

This took us 2 hours to complete, once we started with the crackers and icing.
We already had the 11x17 mat boards with the template drawn on them, ready to go.

This one was mine.

Here are some pictures I found on the internet for inspiration:

Template I made that uses graham crackers:
Print at 100%.
Then press it down onto your cardboard with a pen (to have a tracing of image.)
Trace with marker on cardboard.

Sample of how graham cracker fits center.
